My father has been out of a truck driving job since September. He has driven all of his professional life and had B class license with hazmat, air brake, and tanker endorsements.A clean drivers license as well with no accidents or violations. With him out of work for so long,I stepped up of course to be the leading bill payer, which was only right.Since then he has lost his sense of pride and has failed to be hired after countless applications filled out.So if anyone knows a company that is looking for a hardworking, dependable and honest class B truck driver, shoot me a message and it will be GREATLY appreciated. Also we live in Glen Burnie and he doesn't mind traveling a bit.I know it's tough out there and we are just one of many in this situation, but I hope something gives soon. Thanks guys..

Don't have him get a job in Oklahoma...
In all seriousness though, has he tried UPS, USPS, or FedEx?

I have not checked on Fedex or USPS,but I have a friend who drives for UPS and he told me that they were letting drivers go not long ago,and had cut his hours.Never thought to check elsewhere since I figured the others would probably be in much of the same boat.Worth a try though so I'll see.thank you.

my mom works as a recruiter for coca-cola in Hanover, I don't know if there are any openings, but you can check out www.cokecce.com/careers. If he applies for anything let me know and I'll tell my mom to keep an eye out for the application.

UPS is hiring seasonal help right now.
Everything from loaders and sorters to feeder drivers.

school bus drivers are always needed. May not be the best pay, but the hours gives you some free day time, and if he is not makeing a red cent now then that would be income.

Southern Maryland Oil has had a sign up that they're looking for CDL drivers for a few months now.
***I don't know the different classifications for truck drivers (class b...cdl...??), so not sure if this is something he'd qualify for, but I took a picture of the sign for the phone number, if you're interested.

Working nights and listening to the Midnight Radio Network aka Truckers' Radio on WMAL 630, JB Hunt is advertising a lot for drivers for all their different haul operations. There was another add but the name escapes me right now.

Will your Dad be financially able to upgrade to a Class A? All those trucking jobs you see are for Class A (18 wheeler) jobs.
Some of those companies, like JB Hunt send you to their school (about $6000) and then you drive for them to pay off your loans.
I am in school til March getting my "A"

Hunt's ad was for experienced drivers with excellent referals and records. I haven't heard their ad for noobs in awhile at night.

Check the LP gas companies around your area. They hire big time, this time of year.
