Hello Maryland Shooters!
We are hosting our 3 day Basic Precision Rifle Course (PR-1) in Fredericksburg, Virginia on Feb 20-22 (Fri-Sun).
This course is taught entirely by 3 former USMC Scout Sniper School Chief Instructors from the Quantico and Hawaii Schoolhouses. References are available upon request.

PR-1 Course Breakdown:
Date/Time: February 20-23 (FRI-SAT-SUN) Course begins at 0800 Friday morning and ends at 1700 Sunday evening.

Commonwealth Criminal Justice Academy

Cost: $600.00
Round Count: 300
Class Size: 8 Students
Prerequisites: None
Course Description:
This basic level course will introduce the student to the fundamentals of marksmanship, providing students with the knowledge and ability to analyze their shooting under various field conditions at distances from 100-500 yards. Shooters of any skill level are invited to attend the Basic Precision Rifle course.
Learning Objectives:
• Introduction to modern precision rifles
• Care and cleaning of a precision rifle
• Fundamentals of marksmanship
• Scope theory and adjustment
• Ballistics
• Data book use and analysis
• Shooting in field conditions and inclement weather
• Known distance target engagement from 100-500 yards
Recommended Equipment List:
• Students may bring their own precision rifle and optics or they can be provided from Commonwealth Criminal Justice Academy.
• 300 rounds of match grade .308 ammunition
• Spotting scope / small tripod
• Rear shooting bag/support
• Data book
• Eye and ear protection
• Clothing and footwear suitable for inclement weather
• Spiral bound notebook
• Pen, pencil, highlighter
• Calculator
• Camelback or other water carrying system
• Backpack large enough to carry all equipment throughout the course
